Plastic Waste for Sustainable Roads

Repurposing

India’s uses a mixture of thermoplastics (LDPE, HDPE, PET and Polyurethane) with bitumen to pave roads to be stronger and water resistant. A two lane road uses 2 tonnes of waste plastic per kilometer.
